School Supplies for 2020-21 School Year

School Supply Kit ordering is now closed. A friendly reminder that no extra kits are ordered and the ordering deadline was firm.

Purchased kits will be available for pick-up on September 10 between 2-7pm. Some items from the kits that are typically used by the teachers in the classrooms (i.e., paper towels, cleaning wipes) were pulled and left with the teachers in the hopes that we will be in-person at some time this school year.

Can't recall if you purchased a kit for Grades K - 5? Please email Joe Schmidt at

Regarding Middle Grades (6 - 8):

  • Lake Harriet is using a streamlined system of organization for students and school materials. Each student needs one 3-inch, three ring binder with a pencil pouch, pocket dividers and a student planner.
  • During the first week of school, binders will be set up during class time to create sections for each class. Teachers will communicate with students as to what should be in their section of the binder. Throughout the year, teachers will work with students to help them keep the binder orderly and organized.

NOTE TO PARENTS: Many have inquired about the type of binder that should be purchased. Some have used standard hard cover three ring binder (e.g. Avery) while others have purchased a soft-sided, zip around binder (e.g. Case-It Mighty Zip). Either option is fine.
