The Minneapolis Public Schools are providing free trainings for parents and community members on literacy, math, and other important school related topics through the 2011-2012 school year.  These trainings are located in different schools and community sites across Minneapolis and are great opportunities for our parents to get more involved in the schools and take action on their child’s education. Trainings are free to attend and provide free childcare and refreshments.

Our upcoming training is on Thursday, September 22nd and is entitled: Literacy Homework Strategies, presented by the Teaching and Learning department. It will be at Jefferson Elementary School from 6-8pm.

Please call 612-290-8440 or go to http://volmps.mpls.k12.mn.us/CAS.html to register and to get more information about upcoming trainings.
