SAVE THE DATE FOR OUR SECOND ANNUAL STRUT: GUITAR FESTIVALSATURDAY, MAY 6, 2017 : 9am-9pm at Southwest High School

Be a STRUT: Guitar Festival Supporter!

The second annual STRUT: Guitar Festival will be taking place at Southwest High School on Saturday, May 6th. This year, over 125 5th-12th grade students from Field Middle School, Lake Harriet Upper Campus, Southwest High School and Washburn High School will participate in a daytime Battle of the Bands, hands-on workshops and evening performance. The 7pm concert will feature a 100+ student guitar orchestra with a world-premiere "Monolithic Fireplaces" by Tom Johnson, and special performances by the top Battle of the Bands groups.

 

Get involved! How you can help:

• Come support your family and friends by watching the daytime Battle of the Bands (10am-4pm; specific times to be announced by May 1st) or the evening concert at 7pm (suggested donation $5-10).

Be a volunteer! We need lots of help to make this festival successful. Click here to sign up and choose your available time(s) and area(s) of interest.

• Can't make it this year? No problem! Click here to make a tax-deductible donation in any amount. *Please remember to chose MPS school, program or fund in the drop-down Designation menu, then specify “STRUT: Guitar Festival” in order to ensure that your gift is directly applied towards the festival.
