Introductory Skit                                                    7thGrade Spanish 1A

 

Expectations

•Use information learned beginning with the first day of class.

•Prepare a written dialogue with one partner from class.

•Each student is responsible for writing both their lines of the dialogue, and the lines of their partner.

•Both partners must complete the following requirements:

 

1) Greet one another

2) Ask the person’s name, & respond to their partner’s question

3) Ask how they’re doing, & respond to their partner’s question

4) Ask when their birthday is, & respond to their partner’s question

5) Ask how old they are, and respond to their partner’s question

6) Ask where their partner is from, & respond to their partner’s question

7) Explain that it is a pleasure to meet them

8) Say good-bye

*****PLEASE NOTE!  While “¿Y tú?” means “And you?”, it is not a full sentence.

Points will be deducted if it is not followed by the full question.

EXAMPLE:  ¿Y tú, cómo te llamas?

 

Grading- Please review oral & written rubrics for more details

Written- 20 points

Spelling, this includes accent marks and punctuation as well

Word order

Include all above requirements, #1-8

Write full questions AND sentencesfor your lines as well as your partner’s lines

Oral- 20 points

Memorize dialogue, or at least include all components when presenting

Practice, practice, practice!  Dialogue must appear well rehearsed

 

******HINT:  

1)        In order to memorize your lines, read the skit (including your partner’s lines of dialogue) over and over and over.  

2)        Read it out loud to yourself over and over and over.

3)        Once you feel like you’ve memorized it, give the written skit to a friend or family member and have them read your partner’s lines while you rehearse yours.

4)        Call your partner on the phone and practice your conversation.

5)        Keep the skit nearby in case you need to quickly check something.

 

When you’re presenting, you may ask questions out of order, don’t worry!

The point of the activity is to be able to form the question correctly & to respond appropriately.
