Lake Harriet School’s first FLL (First Lego League) competition, held Saturday, Jan. 16, at Anwatin Middle School, was a huge success.  Lake Harriet teams earned several awards and more importantly, it was great fun, and the teamwork was inspiring.  For first-year participants with a compressed preparation time frame, it was truly amazing how well all teams performed.

The Lake Harriet participants and families wish to express their gratitude to the school and to Mr. Marchetti and Mr. Tousignant for all the early-morning sessions, hard work, supportive coaching and the time they gave. Thanks also to Patrice Kaye for all of her organizational help, and to the many supportive parent volunteers.  To quote Mr. Marchetti, “You rock!” It provided an unforgettable, fun learning experience for all.  To see more information on Lake Harriet’s newly-formed S.T.E.M.
