2018 Read-a-Thon

Mark your calendar! The 2019 LHCS Read-a-thon will be February 1 - March 2.

New this year! We will be fundraising utilizing a new, simple website --- https://lhcsreads.dojiggy.com

Detailed instructions can be found on the forms below or under "How it Works" on the dojiggy website

We need volunteers to make sure all of the events are a success. Please visit our signupgenius to help out.

Parents, register your student here. Note: you will enter your child's full name, but please know it will default to first name and last initial on the website. You can customize your page with photos or video and share on Facebook or via email. Please enter an estimated number of minutes your child plans to read. After the Read-a-Thon is over, you will need to go back and enter the actual number of minutes read. Please write down all minutes read on the calendar coming home with your student (it can also be found below in case it didn't survive the backpack). And return the signed calendar at the end of Read-a-Thon with any offline donations (check/cash).

Kindergarten-5th grade students will read and keep track of the minutes they have read (outside of school time). They may collect pledges as a school fundraiser if they wish. There will be prizes to earn as well as some giveaways. The awards assembly will be on March 23.   Bikes and helmets will be awarded to the student from each grade reading the most minutes.

Parents will need to take an active role in helping their student(s) keep track of the minutes. Students had some very creative math last year and were reading 10 hours a day? Minutes read in class do not count towards Read-a-Thon goals.
