The entire LHCS community is invited to participate in the Sleep Out for Shelter on May 20th. This is a school-wide service learning event in which students give up their shelter for one night (or for part of a night), get pledges, and donate the funds to the American Refugee Committee, who will build homes for families in Haiti.

If you choose to invite other students over to your house for the event, please comply with school policy by completing a criminal background check, which must be submitted by May 5th. Background check forms, online registration and more event information is available at http://lakeharriet.mpls.k12.mn.us/sleep_out_for_shelter.html. Participating in this fun, learning event is sure to make a positive difference in our community as well as in Haiti!
