WELCOME!

My name is Jessica Larson and I am thrilled to have you in my class this year. I hope you are ready to learn a lot of new and exciting things throughout our journey together!

I grew up in Delano, Minnesota, a small town west of Minneapolis and currently live on the island in Mound, Minnesota.  When I graduated from high school I went to school in Quito, Ecuador, South America for a year and then attended Crown College in St. Bonifacious, MN.

I have been teaching in Minneapolis since 2009, and I am sure this year will be the best of them all. The neighborhood and community support is absolutely amazing. I’m very excited to be returning to the 5th grade team here at Lake Harriet Upper. Before joining the Lake Harriet teaching team, I taught at Jefferson Community School for 4 years, Lucy Craft Laney for one year, and Lake Nokomis Community School – Keewaydin Campus.

When I am not teaching, I enjoy playing my keyboard, reading, taking my Corgi Henry on walks, and sports. I also enjoy fishing, camping, and

4-wheeling.

I am so excited to be your teacher this year, and I look forward to seeing your smiling face each morning!
