March 18, 2013: Ordway
We will be attending a 12:30 performance of Eileen Ivers & Immigrant Soul. Eileen Ivers is the legendary nine-time all-Ireland fiddle champion. She is often referred to as the "Jimmy Hendrix of the violin."

April 9, 2013: Children's Theatre
We will be attending a 10:30 performance called "Jackie & Me" about Jackie Robinson.

April 17 or 18, 2013:  Orchestra Hall .....we think.
Appalachian Spring will be the name of the concert, if we are fortunate enough to get the free busing and free tickets.

April or May, 2013 (TBD):  Mill City Museum

May 21, 2013: University of Minnesota
We will be seeing the "Energy and U" show at 1:00 PM at the chemistry building on campus. This 50 minute show focuses on energy, science, and technology.  The children will see the scientists demonstrate what energy is, where it comes from, how it can be used, where it can be stored, and how understanding energy science and technology is important for the learners of tomorrow.  The audience is invited to participate in some of the demonstrations.  This ties in beautifully with our "Matter and Energy" unit!
