8th Grade Families,

It’s almost the end of the school year and this is a time when we have a lot going on for our 8th grade students! Traditions, gatherings and sharing of memories both new and “old.”  Mark your calendars today! Notice that due to the size of this class, all events are limited to 2 guests per student. End of year gathering for students and their parents or guardians as well as a celebration for retiring teachers.

The deadline to purchase tickets is Friday, May 18.

Where: Upper Campus Gymnasium

Cost: $25/student + 2 adults; $17/student + 1 adult; $8.50/student only

Principal Walter Schleisman and the Middle Grades Team invite you to join them in honoring the Lake Harriet Community School 8th Grade Class in a special recognition ceremony followed by light refreshments. Seating is limited to 2 guests per students.


In preparation for this ceremony, the planning team asks that you please submit two photos of your child for slide shows that will be included as part of that ceremony.  The first photo should be a Kindergarten photo or a photo taken around the age of 5 or 6. This photo will be shown next to a current photo of your child as they cross the stage to accept their certificate.

The second photo should be a candid of your child from any school activity, grade K-8.  This one will be included as part of a slide show that will play as people enter the gym.

Individual Student Photos: Individual student photos will be taken Tuesday, May 22, 2018. These photos will be used in the ceremony slide show along with the students kindergarten age photos.
