Look For Examples Of Math All Around You!

Some helpful math tips and reminders:

Practice your math facts. Use your flashcards and practice with a family member or a friend. You can make your own flashcards for basic addition, subtraction, multiplication and/or division.  Basic flash cards are also sold at Walgreen's, Target, Walmart, and other area stores for a dollar or two.

Review your math homework and/or work on any unfinished homework pages.

Go to the LHCS website and practice on various websites under my "Links" section.

Play math games.

Play card games that involve counting such as "21"

Double or triple a favorite recipe.

Practice counting money. Make a shopping list and estimate how much you plan to spend.

Build something using your measurement skills.

Note the maximum and minimum temperatures all around the world.

Check out Xtra Math (See handout) for basic facts practice
