On Friday, October 28th the Lake Harriet Dragon Girl's Volleyball Team played at Southwest High School for the City Volleyball Championship. The Dragons finished the regular season with a record of 9-3 and were second in the conference. This record secured the Dragons the number 3 seed in the playoffs.

The match was played before a good crowd. The first match was tough as each team was trying to read their opponent. Halfway through the first game, Lake Harriet took control and won. They were one game away from their third consecutive championship.  The second game was  tougher than the first but in the end the Lake Harriet Dragons were proclaimed the 2011 Minneapolis Middle School Volleyball Champs.

Coach Peg Eiden did an excellent job with the team. They played hard and with class, nothing short of marvelous for a truly excellent group of girls and with so much credit to their wonderful Coach. This year’s players were; Chloe S., Anna W., Stephanie D., Arazu K., Sophia G., Renee W., Olivia A., Emma S., Jada O., Madeline R., Julia M., Lily M., Vivian S..
