Hello and welcome to our classroom! I am extremely excited to begin my fourth year Lake Harriet Community School! Kindergarten is my favorite age to teach because of the natural enthusiasm children of this age bring to everything they do. The personal and academic growth that five and six-year-olds go through in one school year is unbelievable, and it is the greatest privilege and joy of my job to be able to witness, guide, and learn along with each of my students during this time!

I grew up in Madison, WI (go Badgers!) and moved to Minnesota to attend St. Olaf College. During college I studied abroad two times, in England and South Africa, in addition to traveling and exploring many other countries and cultures with friends at various points. My family still lives back in Madison, and while I enjoy returning for visits, Minneapolis has become my home. I love living near the lakes and go for a run outside as often as possible after school.

LHCS is well-known for having loving, supportive families who are invested in their student’s education. I’m excited to partner with each of you as we move through the year and make it as successful and fun as possible for your student.

Visit our regularly-updated class blog for class updates, photos, and news at http://kinderkicks206.wordpress.com. Please note that our blog will be password protected for safety and privacy reasons, and will be inaccessible via internet search engines, such as Google. The password will be handed out to currrent families at open house night in August.

I'm looking forward to working together this year and getting to know your little ones!
