About Mrs. Shuff

As the oldest of seven and a mom of two, I've worked with children my entire life and tend to be somewhat bossy. I spent much of my childhood in Akron, Ohio. I earned my B.S. in Education at the University of Akron. I also hold a M.A. in Early Childhood Education from George Washington University in Washington, DC and did additional graduate work at New York University and the University of California, Irvine.

We have enjoyed the wonderful opportunity of living in many different states, coast to coast. As a result, I have taught young children from a variety of backgrounds at a variety of levels. My teaching credentials are in regular education and special education, but I also spent several years teaching bi-lingual education (in Southern California) and as a specialist for the Minneapolis schools.

This is my tenth year at Lake Harriet Community School. It is a very positive educational environment. Everyone in the school community, parents, students, teachers and support staff are friendly and helpful. I'm delighted to be here.
