Grammar: adjectives and comma with a series.
Spelling words: because, scratch, scrub, split, sprint, squid, squish, strap, stretch, when 
High-frequency words: because, from, their, when
Math:  Finishing Unit 3 on measurement. Quarter test.
Writing:  we will do a writing assignment next week using a writing process; writing vocabulary and ideas on a graphic organizer, sloppy copy, editing, final copy (publishing.)
*The spelling test will be next Monday, Jan. 22 since this is a short week.

Math: Measurement, including time (hour and 1/2 hour) and money.
Social Skills: We are going to spend the next four weeks focusing on our "Bee" rules.  This week's expectation is BEING RESPONSIBLE for ourselves and our  belongings.

This Thursday, weather permitting, walking field trip to practice school evacuation.
*This Friday we will have Pajama Day and Movie Day as rewards for our efforts in the Dragon Dash.

The Citizens of the Month for September were Thomas and Natalia.
NEW: On Tuesday, students will be bringing home the new monthly math assignment. They should complete one or two problems per day.  Alternate with Dreambox (for example, Monday, Wednesday, Friday complete math problems on sheet, Tuesday and Thursday work on Dreambox for 10-15 minutes). Please return the signed homework on November 1. The new reading logs will also be coming home in the Tuesday folder.
Tuesday is the pep rally for the school fundraiser Dragon Dash which officially begins on Wednesday
Wednesday is ride or walk to school day.
Friday is Picture Day.
