Social Studies: History of presidents.

Reminders: 100th Day celebration is Tuesday. Bring 100 of something. The items should take up no more space than a shoebox. You can also dress up like you might look when you're 100 years old.

14th is Friendship Day. Students may bring Valentines. We will make mailbags in class. If anyone wants to bring a small treat they may.

Thursday is our Read-In. Students should bring their favorite books to read all day.  They can also bring a small stuffed animal and/or small blanket. As part of the Read-A-Thon, it is mismatch dress up day for the school. 

Read-A-Thon continues. We have 15 students signed up so far. Yeah! Keep up the good work. Our goal is 100% to win an ice cream party. Remember it also counts to return your completed, signed calendar on March 2.  This is easy for us as we have reading homework already! Just mark your Read-A-Thon calendars when you fill in your classroom reading homework calendar.

Book Fair Update: Congratulations to Isa who won the Scholasic Book Fair prize of a bag of books! And thanks to all of our familes for your support. Even though the book fair hours were shortened due to the snow day, the PTO raised nearly as much money as last year!

NEW: On Tuesday, students will be bringing home the new monthly math assignment. They should complete one or two problems per day.  Alternate with Dreambox (for example, Monday, Wednesday, Friday complete math problems on sheet, Tuesday and Thursday work on Dreambox for 10-15 minutes). Please return the signed homework on November 1. The new reading logs will also be coming home in the Tuesday folder.
Tuesday is the pep rally for the school fundraiser Dragon Dash which officially begins on Wednesday
Wednesday is ride or walk to school day.
Friday is Picture Day.
