Allergy Aware School Program

Minneapolis has an "Allergy Aware" policy for students with food allergies.  Both the Lower and Upper Campus lunchrooms have "Allergy Aware" tables.  Parents with students who are highly allergic to various foods may want their student to sit at this table.  Lunch aids are aware of the students with allergies.  Friends of students who sit at the "Allergy Aware" table may not have food in their lunch that contain any of the allergens.   When sitting at this table, students may be asked to wash their hands before eating.  Specific measures are taken to prevent cross contamination when cleaning this table.
