Notes from the Office: Autumn Action!
Monday, November 10, 2008 11:15 PM

Lake Harriet Lower Campus students were extremely busy on October 31st as each classroom celebrated Autumn Harvest with parties and games. This was thanks to a group of generous parents and teachers coordinating ideas and activities, donating time, and supervising activities. Another aspect of the day’s festivities was Kids’ Vote. Thanks to our talented Mpls. Kids staff, our school stage was transformed into a polling place. Red and white and blue streamers, lights, and decorations greeted each class as they signed in to cast their vote for the next President of the United States.

The outcome was as follows:
Barack Obama – 235 votes
John McCain – 40 votes
other – 5 votes
couldn’t read – 8 votes
for a total of 288 votes. (Not all classes participated.)
