Kids Voting
Tuesday, October 31, 2006 10:25 AM

On Election Day, students are encouraged to go with you to vote.  The Kids Voting election ballot will include US Senate, US Representative, Governor, Secretary of State, State Auditor, Attorney General,
transportation constitutional amendment, County Sheriff, County Attorney,
Minneapolis School Board, a Minneapolis
charter amendment and one student question.

Kids Voting will be set up at your official polling place, from 7:00-9:00 am and from 2:30-8:00 pm on November 7th.  There will be a special Kids Voting booth where your student can cast his or her vote.  Older students can go to the polls without a parent.

This is a wonderful way to fulfill our responsibilities to prepare our youth to become active citizens.  Thanks for your help introducing our
next generation to voting.  See you at the polls on Nov. 7th!
