Cell Phone And Electronic Device Policy

Cell Phone and Personal Electronics Policy

Students are allowed to carry their cell phones to school and on their person, however, the phone must be turned off during school hours.
At Lake Harriet Upper teachers take the phone if it is out in the hallway, lunch, recess or in class or ringing during class.

The first time the phone is taken away the student may claim it from the office at the end of the day and is reminded of the phone rules.
The second time it is taken the student’s parent must come in to claim the phone.
The third time the principal meets with the parent and student and make a plan to help the student follow the rules.
