A Letter from the Principals:
Monday, March 10, 2008 11:20 PM

Dear Parents,

Here’s an update on recent events and upcoming activities:

February Conference Attendance
Conferences went well. Attendance was by parent/teacher appointment. Many parents chose to take advantage of the opportunity to meet with teachers. Teachers also had the opportunity to focus on curriculum, team meetings, and record-keeping.

2008-09 Projected Enrollment Meeting
On Wednesday, March 5, Hank, Anne and Allison Stevens (parent of a second-grader and a fifth-grader and parent representative on the District’s Advisory Committee for LHCS), met with Mary Ann Norris, Area C Superintendent and Jim Liston from the District’s Student Accounting department to discuss our enrollment and staff allocation for the 2008-2009 school year. Currently, the Request Cards are being entered and numbers are being tabulated. We will keep you updated on grade configurations as enrollment information is confirmed.

Second Grade CALT
The CALT assessment dates are March 3-14. Parents of second grade students were sent a letter with information about the CALT in late February. Responses were due on Monday, March 3. Based on responses received thus far, most of the second graders will not take the CALT test this March. Thank you for your immediate attention to this matter and thanks also to the second grade staff for their time and support.
